Ant Control
ANTS (Coastal Brown Ants, Odorous House Ants, Black House Ants.)
ALLHART Pest Management provide safe and effective pest control treatment methods for the prevention and eradication of Ants.
There are many types of ants and they vary in size and appearance. Ants can be identified having three distinct body segments with a narrow "waist" between the abdomen and thorax, a large head with two pairs of jaws, inner jaws for chewing and outer jaws for carrying and digging, two compound eyes, elbowed antennae and six legs each having three joints. They are often confused with termites, though termites do not have a narrow "waist" between the abdomen and thorax.
Ants thrive in most ecosystems and form colonies that range in size from a few dozen to millions of individuals. Ants typically live close to food sources in structured nest communities that may be located underground, in ground-level mounds or in cavities. They can be a pest when they nest in voids within buildings, under paving, in gardens and when foraging for food and water.
Ants can be attracted to a wide range of food sources, when desirable items are found many species will deposit a chemical scent to attract fellow nest mates to collect the food to take to the nest. This can result in large numbers of ants appearing over a short period of time.
